I have a ten inch nook and the sd card goes at the bottom on mine. I love my nook because it also allows android games, and it has multiple movies and books games. the retina display is beautiful. I hope whoever wins this item is greatful for the Nook is far better than the kindle in my oppinion.. at least mine is.. ipaid 199 for my nook but worth every penny. thats how im typing to you now is on my nook. good luck all and wonderful auction!!!

I did a reset, so you will have to setup the nook again. As for software updates it is up to date.

Why is it stated Wi-Fi Only? It does store e-books on the device yes?

Yes! The ebooks can be read even with no connection. When I say "Wifi only" I mean it does not have the ability to connect to a cellular network (the network that cellphones use). To download books you must have wifi, but these books can be read at any time. Even if wifi is disabled.

As I am researching this item pretty extensively, I have found them Factory Reconditioned for under $40.00 and used for uner $30.00. As just an eBook reader (which is all I am after) it seems very nice for the value. Fanned and Bidding... Thanks for the chance at winning a nice auction for someting I can finaly use.

Limadude, This one that you have up for auction is 16 scale - or Gray Scale only correct!? So it's realy designed mainly or only for reading books yes? And with touch screen capabilities,,, Or can it run other apps (in gray scale) as well? Thank you. You have really been VERY good about answering questions here. ;- )

It comes able to read books only. If you want you can root it to run games and stuff. Google rooting, I do not know how to do it.

Thank you so much. It's ALL good. I bid way more then the street value I found after doing much research because being Disabeled with a bad back, I read so much and enjoy it so much I read a whole book non stop. But I can't read with the light of a lamp and lean over to view what I am reading. It will still be worth it to me. I am really pleased that the user guide is included. I hope people bid it up so it reaches beyond the amount you require for the included Beldin Case. Please do wish me luck. Mick

Hi Limadude, One last question... Do you have ANY of the original packaged items? RE: Manual, User's guide, Box, etc. AND, does this do Audio Books?
I am bidding to win! I read alot and lighting is ALL-Ways an issue. I love my HB Books but I am running out of shelf space too. I guess that was two questions huh! My Bad... LOL Mick

Yes, the nook will include the original packaging and Quick Start Guide. I will include a charger, though the charger may not be the one the nook originally came with. It uses a Micro-USB charging cord, which most android devices use. I have a lot of these around my home and I am not sure which one the nook came with. Audiobooks are not compatible. If you are asking if you can use SD cards to put books on the nook, Yes! Though I do not know how and I do not know how easy/hard it is to do(you might have to google that), it is definitely possible.
