Beautiful heart locket measuring 1.25". Plenty of room for that grand daughter or grand son picture. Very pretty design on front of heart molded in and then colored with black. Crystal could be a cz OR a rhinestone I don't know. The chain measures 20" extended out from end to end, and 10" on the wearer. This heart locket would be a cherished piece of jewelry for years to come. If the chain doesn't work for the wearer, buy the right size and maybe a real gold necklace to go with it. That way you can wear it to bed if you want to. I know how much I miss my grand daughter and I would want her picture close to me. I think of her all the time.
