The listing, ANTIQUE DIAMOND EARRING (1) has ended.

This has 7 diamonds,,,,it is only 1 earring,,i took this to the pawn shop and the jeweler said they were really old diamonds,,he wouldn't tell me the karat weight without a charge so i don't have that info,,,,i do have some diamond rings and these diamonds look to be close to a karat if not more,..their good sized diamonds,,,,,i found this in the woods with a metal detector,,,lucky me...and lucky you if you win this,,,,,,

hi im really interested in this i want to get it.my grandmother had ear rings like this and it would have a huge sentimental value to me.i was wondering if maybe it would be possible to make it less days i will be out of town on the day the auction is supposed to end so i will not be able to bid at the last minute if someone out bids me.if you could i would greatly appreciate it.let me know thanks=)

UPDATE; just in case you missed the last update,,,i took it to another jeweler for a second opinion..He said they are real diamonds and that they don't make them like this anymore,,,it is very old,,,,and it is white gols although it loks yellow in color

They look to me to be old mine cut diamonds. They just don't sparkle and shine as much as modern cut stones but they are worth just as much! :)

they don't have much sparkle as a refined diamond,,but are nice in their difference...if i would have went to the jeweler before putting it up for bids,,i would have kept it,,,lol

UPDATE...i took it to another jewelry shop and they are real diamonds..he said they don't make them like this anymore and it is white gold although it looks yellow,,i hope that answers the question about the realness of the piece

it looks like gold to me,,,but i don't know,,it dosn't have any markings,,,i just asked the jeweler about the diamonds,,,i thought if they were real diamonds it must be real gold,,,,he said they were real diamonds,,each diamond is almost 1/3 of a centemeter,,,the sun is coming trough my window right now and as i hold it to the sun light,,,it is sparkling with different colors,,,,,

i had already put it up here on listia,,,,there was already a bid on it,,,another kind listian told me i should take it to a jeweler,,,,thats when i was told how real it was,,,then i tokk it to a second jeweler to make sure,,,,the second one wanted it,,but i could sell it as that wouldn't be fair to the person who had bid

I just got lucky again,,,i was taking the earring to someone who also is a member of listia who wanted to see the earring,,,they work here where i live and on way way down stairs i dropped it somewhere,,,well as luck will have it,,,the janitor found it and returned it me,,,,,when it was gone it wasn't a good feeling,,,but i sure do feel good right now,,,,,,i can't wait to see someone get this and enjoy it,,,thanks for your bids everyone

A jeweler once told me that there is always some yellow in white gold; that's why they plate it with platinum for fancy wedding rings. It shows up in regular photography unless you use filters or are a professional and know how to fix it. Beautiful earring. You are a very generous person for posting it here.
