These grew great for me! What you see in the picture are my plants (about 3 planted close together) They are about 10 to 12 inches tall with lots of blooms on each plant.They last all season long and can handle a light frost. I'm including about 100 seeds, much more than you receive from most packets.

A member of the genus Tagetes, marigolds are an annual flower and member of the family Asteraceae. Marigolds are approved for use in the European Union as a food additive, acting as a natural food colorant and nutritional supplement.

If you raise chickens they can nibble on them it won't hurt the chickens a bit. In fact Purina includes marigold flowers in some of their chicken feed.
They fortify the hens eggs with lutein which is good for your eyes, and helps to make their yokes a nice and deep yellow.
These are pretty easy to grow and in some areas they will self seed and come back every year.
