The listing, Something different: variegated mock orange shrub seeds has ended.
This auction is for 5 seed pods. You will love this fragrant shrub that attracts butterflies!
Variegated Mock Orange bushes, Philadelphus coronarius, are upright, multi branched, fountain-like, deciduous shrubs that will grow up to 8 ft. tall and 6 ft. wide, with leaves with lovely white margins
From early spring until the beginning of summer, Variegated Mock Orange will produce their fragrant, creamy white flowers.
An old fashioned favorite, at home in the shrub border. Allow ample room for arching branches. Remove oldest branches (back to ground) right after plant has finished flowering.
Mock Orange seeds should be sown directly in the garden in the spring.
Plant seeds about one-half-inch deep in the potting mixture. Wait until the seedlings develop true leaves — leaves that emerge after the first set of leaves — then place in a shady area and keep moist. Repot when the seedlings have more than doubled in size.
Mock Orange shrubs are hardy in USDA zones 3-9.
Mock Orange should be grown where they will receive full sun or light shade, except in hot summer regions, where they will require shade in the afternoon.
They will grow in almost any soil, but grow best when planted in moist, well-drained soil that has been supplemented with peat moss, leaf mold or compost.
