The listing, Fat-Quarter-Yard of Cat Fabric has ended.

This is a beautiful fat quarter of 100% cotton quilt-shop quality fabric; a fat-quarter-yard typically measures about 18" by half the width of the fabric, about 21 inches. This fabric features various breeds of cats among the flowers in a garden, with a black background. The cats are fairly good sized; see the photo with the quarter for comparison (the quarter is not included in the auction).

Excuse the folds; it has been prewashed and ironed and folded, but I didn't re-iron it flat for the photo!

So this is for 1 yard of material or I/4 of a yard?

This is a quarter of a yard, but instead of being cut as a typical quarter-yard off the bolt, which would be 9" by the width of fabric, a long skinny piece, this is cut by cutting a half yard (18"xWOF) and then cutting that in half the other way, ending up with 18"x half the width of fabric. Quliters and other sewers like the fat quarters because the motifs don't get chopped off so much like they do with a skinny long quarter yard. Ok, too much explanation! It's a quarter of a yard, but a fat one instead of a skinny one!
