Please note-->I have listed many American Girl trading cards. I am by no means an expert on these AG cards, just an enthusiastic collector who has my own complete set now so I am auctioning off my duplicates.

For each auction, I will be giving as much specific information as possible (edition/year, card numbers, condition), but here is some general information about these Pleasant Company / American Girl trading cards.

First Edition in 1994 featured 60 cards each for only the original set of five girls (Samantha, Addy, Kirsten, Molly & Felicity). On each card, there is a illustration on the front (from the corresponding book), and on the back there is either: a) historical fact about the time period, b) a trivia question from the book, c) a brain teaser.

Additional editions: 1998 reissued the original girls plus a new set of 60 cards for new character Josefina. In 2000, Kit cards were added. The illustrations on the front of the '98 & '00 cards are slightly different to correspond to the changing styles in the AG books. Little of the text on back of cards was edited. In 2002 a "reboot" of the trading cards were attempted with only 16 cards for each girl, a very different style of card front, plus new character Kaya.
