I may have been born in the wrong time too but that's the kind of movie/movies I grew up watching. My idol is and has always been Tony Curtis! I saw The Vikings when I was ten years old when it first came out in the theater down the street when we lived in Hollywood. Even met him one time --- I was one happy teenager! Wish I still had my autograph book!!

Oh wow! That's awesome! I haven't seen many Tony Curtis movies but I loved Some Like it Hot, then again I'm a huge Marilyn fan. I love Janet Leigh and Jamie Lee Curtis. I know not the same. Oh wait I think Tony Curtis played in a movie called Good Bye Charlie. Marylin was supposed to me in that movie but died before she could so they dolled Debbie Reynolds to look like her. It was pretty good but you can so tell what they were trying to do

My best friend in Hollywood/elementary school loved Tony Curtis too. We would spend the night at each others place and when I was at her house one time we packed suitcases and pretended to run away. Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh were our parents and our brothers were, like, Fabian, Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, etc. Crazy kids with fun imaginations! I remember Good Bye Charlie -- very funny! I too am a Marilyn Monroe fan. Loved Niagara!

Niagara was good but i think my fav is River of No Return. Fankie Avalon is awesome! That's cool my best friend in elementry school used to play the sound track to Alladin and pretend we were on a magic carpet singing to Patrick Swayzee. lol Then again at the time the only classic movies I saw from the "golden age" were Shirley Temple movies. Now I can prolly go all day and talk about this kind of movies with out end or boredom. Where I used to live I did movie/triva nights. I would show movies from the greats and have triva after. It was great fun would love to have a chance to do it again.

I remember River Of No Return! Have a Marilyn Monroe boxed set of movies and that's in there. I grew up watching Shirley Temple movies too. Also went to a lot of movies with my parents --- not much else to do! That and miniature golf, which I loved! What a fun idea to have movie/trivia nights!! You don't happen to live in CA do you? ha ha

No but I have familly there. My mom's side of the family and my soon to be( on the first of July) in laws all live there. I was born there but I live in TN. I have a Marilyn box set too, or I did. Not sure my ex husband stole a lot of things from me so not really sure what all I have. I have all kinds classics. Oh, btw I fanned you last night.

I have two exes and the first one took me for a ride and kept everything he didn't want, which wasn't much or useful! Good luck with your new husband to be! I'm sure he's a keeper! I've been married over 21 years to my current husband and life is good! Hope you find your Marilyn box set! We lived in TN for a few years, Johnson City. Couldn't make enough money to leave for the longest time! ha ha Was nice there though, except for the heat and humidity. My mother in law lives in Abingdon, VA.

I only have the one and we a were married on paper for 4 yrs. We had a son. I left him after Ihad enough of his abuse and he was enganged a month after I left. Ha! Now he wont pay child support or take care of our son. Anyway, on to something happier. Yeah my soon to be husband has been my best friend for about 7 years and me had a son together last year. We just figured out how to be together and not kill each other lol. I know he's a keeper I've known that for years but I think now we can finally make it work. Thank you. I really hope I haven't annoyed or bored you. I really don't have many people to talk to. I'm a stay at home mom cause my new husband and my son has medical problems so i stay and take care of him. It's nice to talk with someone other then kids. lol thank you

I remember those stay at home days, but then I didn't have to work. Would have been nice not to have been married to the jerk tho! My three sons put up with my ex's physical abuse and I got the mental abuse. Neither one is a joy! Left mental scars on my boys. My youngest is 40 and has gotten three college degrees and is happily married with two children. He had to go to counseling after high school to work through all that childhood nonsense. Oldest son refuses to have anything to do with me and blames me for everything. It is what it is! Middle son hurt his back at work about six years ago and has remarried --- not a happy marriage with her two kids from hell. Not my problem --- have enough of my own! My husband retired the end of Sept and we're itching to travel. It's put on hold because my 89 year old mother lives with us this past 4 1/2 years and she has alz. and dementia. Stress is abundant!! Used to be that in the '70's I had over 70 pen pals. I loved to write letters. Now, you know how it is with computers and all, nobody wants to write and have those memories to keep. I'm a rambler so be prepared! ha ha

Hey It's fine with me I ramble too. I am so sorry to hear about you son's. I got physical,mental, and sexual abuse from my ex husband and mental back up from his mother. He threatened to kill me one day, i knew it didn't have the mentality to do it but i looked at our 18 month old son(at the time) and knew that live would go a few different ways with him if i didn't leave so i did.I prolly need to work but we are waiting to here from SSI to see if my youngest gets disbality and he should he is doing so much bette now but he still eats by a feeding tube. My new husband( just easier lol) says that he doesn't care if I work or not. He will take care of my and BOTH boys. It always makes me feel good to hear it because my ex husband doesn't want our 4 year old and here my new husband wants him. It just amazes me sometimes. Letters are fun. I just never remember to right them. Usually don't have the money for stamps after I get thro getting everything the boys need but all that will change here shortly! YAY! Anyways I should prolly go. I have room to clean up. Coming and going from the hospital the way we did kinda bulids up and I finally have chance to get it all done before it will be 4 us.
