Wow! ★ Ô¿Ô ★ This is a Great Auction.☺

I know this Japanese knife and it is a real jewel.

I believe this one is from Seki Japan & that place is very famous worldwide for its production of fine knives just like Solingen in Germany.

A bit of history:

The history of Seki knife makers dates back to the 13th century.

During the Muromachi Era (1338-1573), there were over 300 swordsmiths & knife makers working in Seki.

They chose Seki because of its good iron, sand, charcoal and water.

The superior quality of knives & swords made in Seki were quickly recognized throughout Japan and its solid reputation as a knife & sword making center was established.

The techniques and skills and the ancient attitudes of traditional Japanese knife & sword making has been passed down across the centuries and are still alive in today.

I have seen knives from Seki that go for as low as $55 for a tiny pendant knife to well over $200 for ones that are around this size.

You can see this for yourself at these Websites:

Hey Dman.
I made a rookie mistake and commented on my own auction rather than reply to yours.
Come back when ya can and read what I wrote to you.

See everyone, even an experienced Listian like myself can sometimes forget how to reply to comments on here.

Space! The final frontier!! Heh Heh!

I do that quite a bit. LOL
It's just too easy to reply to a message just 1 line below it.
I hope people take a peek at those websites, because they are really worth the time.
