This unusual and dazzling, deer-resistant native to Texas and Mexico is composed of small, pointed green leaves held along parchment, upright stems. Starting in late spring and continuing until frost, the 3' tall x 2' wide Anisacanthus wrightii is covered in masses of long-tubed, bright red/orange, star-shaped flowers. In warmer climates where there is no winter dieback, Texas firecracker can reach heights of 6'.
Very drought tolerant. Hummingbirds can't resist!
