i've taken my galazy s4 apart because i was going to replace my charger flex port, but it looks like it needs to be soldered in --so I never purchased a new port part. . This works for any s4 ??

This will work for the regular galaxy s4 not the s4 active. If yours is soldered to the board you might have an s3
