Description

The listing, Latex prosthetic gash appliance - unpainted hand-cast sfx makeup scar cut wound has ended.

Hey there, and thanks for looking!

This listing is for one unpainted prosthetic gash wound by Acrotomic Studios for use in special effects makeup.
A perfect addition to any Halloween costume!
Approximately 3" long and slightly under 1" wide.

Hand-sculpted and hand-cast by me, these wounds are made of tough, but flexible latex with super-thin edges for blending into the skin.

Requires adhesive to attach (not included).
Note: Be SURE that you are not allergic to latex before ordering these.

If by chance the bids do not reach 2500 what do you color it with to make it real like?

Greasepaint (aka RMG paint) is the most popular for inexpensive SFX makeups. You can also use PAX paint or alcohol-activated makeups.

Yes, gelatin and silicone are great substitutes for latex appliances.
Unfortunately, I can't offer silicone currently (which needs special kinds of adhesive and makeup, anyway) due to the cost. And because of the heat and humidity of where I live, shipping gelatin just doesn't end well. There are a lot of people out there making gelatin appliances, though, so definitely check into that.

I tend to use pros-aide most often, but that's just personal preference. The most popular is definitely spirit gum, which is much easier to find locally (can be found almost anywhere that sells Halloween costumes).
