The listing, Vintage Occupied Japan Porcelain Cow Creamer has ended.
Where do we get milk? From a cow!! Seriously, this cute little guy is anything but serious. Made between 1945 and 1952 it was made in Japan for export. As Japan needed to rebuild their economy after the war, part of the agreement stated they had to mark 50% of export goods with "Occupied Japan" or "Made in OJ". For his age, this cow looks great.
Measurements are:
Tip of nose to curve in tail 6-1/2"
Bottom of back leg to curve of tail 4"
Outside of front left foot to outside of front right foot 2-1/4"
No cracks, no crazing, no chips. He looks no where near his age.
Of course, you can use it for coffee creamer. But, what a fun way for the kids to add milk to their cereal. Can you picture their face when you put the cow next to their cereal bowl! Guaranteed giggles!!
