Description

The listing, Commemorative Coins; Canada; 5 cent; 1967 Confederation Centennial ‘Hopping Rabbit’ + BONUS has ended.

Thank you for browsing and welcome to the Great White North, hoser. :-)

Up for grabs is one of my favourite coins. The winner of this auction will receive one (1) 1967 Canadian Confederation Centennial (1867-1967) ‘Hopping Rabbit’ 5 cent piece (nickel) as shown in the first two (2) photographs. Of note, for you collector types, this coin features the Young Lizzy. ;-)

This coin is in circulated condition; has a metal composition of 99.9% nickel; diameter of 21.21mm; weight 4.54 grams and mintage was 37,000,000. (Despite what my friends and I believed (wished), when we were wee boys, there is absolutely no proof that this coin will bring you fame, fortune or Farrah Fawcett. ;-) But then, there’s no proof that it won’t either…)

PLEASE NOTE - This coin is in circulated condition and will come, as shown in the pictures, in a coin flip. Coin easel NOT included. ;-)

BONUS - Because it's always great to get a bonus - like when you buy a case of beer and they give you...more beer ;-) - the winner of the auction will receive their choice of a second 'Hopping Rabbit' nickel for a total of two (2) or one (1) random date (1942-1962) 12-sided 5 cent (nickel) coin; though I'll try to fulfill date requests, I can't guarantee I'll have the exact year you want. Imagine that, you buy a case of beer and they give you another case free...there's a name for a place like that...we call it Canada, eh. ;-)

Free shipping across from pole to pole...well, at least, everywhere Canada Post ships to.

Questions and comments are always welcome. Thank you for your interest and supporting Listia. If you like what you see, please feel free to view my full auction listing for other interesting treasures looking for a forever loving home.

Boston is awesome, there is so much to do there. You need at least a week to see everything.
I'm owned by free roam house bunnies! They can go where ever they want and they always use their litter box. Very cool pets to have, along with my 4 kitties. Tiger is in the photo.
This coin has my birth year and I love to collect anything bunny. I'm high bidder, got fingers crossed so I'll win.

That would make it twice as meaningful a coin. :-) Good luck with the bidding.

Thank you for comment. It's always interesting to see, in a mixed lot like this, how different coins appeal to different people. :-) Good luck bidding.

Greetings Massachusetts. :-) Great state, used to vacation in Boston twice a year - amazing city. That's one of the things I love about the Rabbit; unlike the dime, quarter and fifty cent piece from 1967 (which are made with 80% silver) this is a older coin that can be acquired in BU condition without taking a major hit to the wallet. And rabbits are just cool, in general.

Thank you for taking the time to comment and cute kitty. :-)
