Isn’t this gorgeous? I’ve had this necklace for many years and just don’t wear it anymore. It needs to be worn! It is a gold tone metal necklace. This is not a high end piece of jewelry, although it is very nice. I do not see anywhere where the gold color is rubbing off and since I’ve had it for so many years, I doubt that it will! It has a flexible “chain” (I believe it’s called a snake chain but I’m not positive) so it sits nicely around your neck. It is about 20” around with a foldover, locking clasp.

Gold refers to color not what it is made of.
