Description
The listing, MEAT: A Love Story - Pasture to Plate, a Search for the Perfect Meal, by Susan Bourette has ended.
I bought this for my teenage daughter when she decided she wanted to become a vegetarian. Educational and insightful, the book was able to guide her toward her ultimate decision (I'm not going to tell you what she decided!) A cross between Elizabeth Gilbert's - Eat, Pray, Love (also a movie) and Michael Pollan's - The Omnivore's Dilemma (quoted by the Library Journal).
Used paperback. Good condition, some cover wear (bent corners). Does not affect readability of book. 261 pages. Geared toward young adults and adults.
Excellent read!
Questions & Comments
My daughter and I are vegetarian on your opinion is this book a good read?
It was very good. And very insightful. My daughter REALLY enjoyed it, and like I said in the item description, it really helped her sort out what was important to her, what she wanted, and helped her clarify her reasons for possibly becoming a vegetarian. I was honestly amazed by the thoughtful process by which she came to a conclusion about what her real motivations were. And it was an entertaining read, not boring at all.
