Pick the leaves and dry them. Crush a little. Use about a tsp in a mug size cup of boiling water. Steep. Strain. Add sweetner (I like honey or agave) and enjoy.

I also use to make a syrup for mint lemonade. And just fresh in water to add a little flavor.

THere are all sorts of reusable tea bags (i make my own) or other tea strainers you can get for bulk tea leaves.

Is this a picture of the plant/leaves/roots you are sending? This looks very like Lemon Balm (in the mint family), also resembles Peppermint. Spearmint leaves are long and skinny....like a "spear." My daughter has both Lemon Balm and Spearmint growing in her herb garden. Best of luck on your auction. Mint is very hearty and should survive almost anywhere....well, perhaps not so well in the desert.
