The listing, Gollum Jade (Crassula Ovata) 4" Bonsai Starter Plant has ended.
You are bidding on a beautiful piece of my Gollum Jade. These work well for bonsai projects because of their thick trunk and slow growing process. These are a hardy succulent, so everyone can grow them. You will receive exactly what is pictured. It is rooting and will be healthy upon arrival. Please ask if you have questions BEFORE BIDDING! No bidder's remorse. All Listia Rules Apply. Good Luck! Have Fun!
Questions & Comments
I just got some of this! When you say hardy, do you mean it can stand missouri winter? Or just that anybody can grow it? Thanks! :)
Thank you so much, I'll sure do that! I bought a bonsai from Wally world and it died straight away. I couldn't figure out what did. When I took it out of the pot, they had cut off the tap root and there was 1 stringy little root. No wonder it didn't live!
There is a nice seller here on Listia that sells bonsai. His name is Kevin and I think he is in West Virginia. His starting prices are rather high though. You can check him out by just searching the term "bonsai". His supply comes from Amazon. There are 2 types he has. A juniper bonsai and a Dessert Rose bonsai. Good luck my new friend!
For successful bonsai you must plant in a shallow planter. The roots need to be constricted so to "stunt" the growth. The trunk should develop naturally into a thick and vein-like base. Most local libraries now have the option to read books on-line. My most helpful suggestion would be to look at information for the bonsai beginner (like me!). Good luck. I know you will do grand!
I really love his plants but it is hard for me to let go of that many credits at one time! lol I have a goal to get my Christmas shopping done for "free" here on Listia so I must be frugal with my credits haha!
