Passion flowers are exotic looking tropical plants.

My plant came from seeds off of my hubby's Grannies plant in Kentucky. I kept trying to get one going with starts off hers..they never made it. So I brought a passion fruit home and finally got some started by seeds. I planted one..it didn't come back, I put one in a fairly decent size pot,it bloomed last summer and this will be it's second yr.it is growing now in the house.I had one fruit from it last year.
It is now outside and BLOOMING!!!

It is called ‘passion-flower’ due to parts of the flower resembling the crown of thorns, nails and other symbols of Christ’s suffering. The passionflower is associated with faith, holy love, religious fervour and superstition. It is a prominent Christian flower symbol as its pointed leaf resembles a spear, the tendrils the whips, the column of the ovary signifies the cross and the dark circle of threads in the centre the crown of thorns.
The flower portrays the passion of Christ.
The three days’ life span of the flower is supposed to mean- “so shall the son of man be three days and nights in the heart of the earth”

USDA Hardiness Zones: 6 - 10, depending on species.

Size: Most are vines: 15-30' x 6-8 ft.
Exposure: Full Sun to Partial Shade

Bloom Period: Mid- to Late Summer

These are also known as the Crown of Christ flower vine. They are so pretty and you just feel good planting them :)

Anywhere from 27 to 60 days.. These can be grown outside in the south..but have to be potted and brought in in the winters in the north.

I have this vine called a candy corn I think that you would like it going to put some seeds up for auction so keep a eye out for it . It is a wow when you see it. oneof you biggest fans
