1969 is the first season that the San Diego Padres competed as a MLB team.
Al Ferrara was an 8 year veteran who joined the Padres via the expansion draft from the Dodgers. He enjoyed his best season in 1970 when he had a .372 on base percentage coupled with 13 home runs and over 50 RBI.
The 9th pick in the expansion draft, Arcia came from the Cubs with only 59 games of MLB experience. He played middle infield for 2 seasons with the expansion Padres.
These cards should be considered as filler. They have assorted issues such as corner and edge wear and creasing.
