The listing, Kennedy half dollar - error has ended.

This is a1989 Kennedy half dollar

I am no expert, but I believe it is a mint error

I scanned the coin, enlarged the scan, then scanned it again so you could see and judge for yourself

There is a clip indentation to the right of Kennedy's head.
Although this could be done by hitting I with something - if you look closely you can see the "reeding" along the edge of the dent - as if made by another coin - it was not made by another half dollar (the arc is too small) - it looks more like it was made by a dime)

I don't know how this happened, but I thought those of you who like errors might be interested in this coin.

It looks like it happened post-mint, but I'm not 100% sure. Any chance of a better picture of the front, or at least one of the rear?

Sorry - I am away from home for a family reunion weekend- won't be back until after auction is over. I really don't know how it happened - just thought the reeding on the indentation was very unusual. If I recall, the back doesn't show any sign of damages.
