It uses a CD ROM not a DVD it also has a USB to hook up to your computer to transfer pictures :-)

does the photo have good details and when you zoom the binoculars does the camera zoom as well?

yes I bought this new but I have several pair and I do not use this one I have one favorite pair and the rest are in a bag hanging up

Does it record to the DVD with a program on the computer? I've not seen this type before. It's not large enough for the DVD to fit into the binoculars is it?
