The listing, HUGE Lot of Iridescent Pony Beads! has ended.
I'm not counting all these pony beads because I know there are HUNDREDS in this bag.
Their colors are gorgeous and do include silver and gold, 'mother of pearl,' purples, pinks, greens, blues...well, you can see from the closeup photos.
These could create an awesome summer craft project for a lot of kids, that's for sure!
The one photo taken with my pasta machine gives you an idea of the size of the bag: it's NOT 'sandwich size'....it's a large 'freezer size.'
I know that retail cost to me when I purchased all of these was in the neighborhood of around $50. I was going to use them for a project I had in mind but never got around to it....and most likely never will.
My shipping policy has changed due to some real thinking on my part about the role Listia plays (or should) with 'giving and sharing' on this site.
I am SHARING shipping charges because I don't feel that only one party should feel pressured to shoulder the entire burden of cash in a free transaction. Therefore, to help defray costs, I am only charging $1 any item that exceeds $.44 to mail.
For example, sewing patterns that I will be listing cost me $1.70 minimum in shipping but that's not including packaging. Of course, some items will be heavier, but the $1 stays the same for ALL items that would cost more than $.44 to mail.
I will soon be posting items that WILL fit into a standard-sized envelope and the shipping will ALWAYS be free on those items.
Putting it another way: if I held a garage sale and charged $1 for all items larger than a regular envelope (besides books), wouldn't that be cool? So, that's how I am now approaching my shipping on my items posted in Listia.
The $1 can be sent via Paypal or mailed (no personal checks, please).
I'm hoping and praying that more sellers resist the temptation to be led by the "goodies" that Listia offers for free shipping and, instead, focus on the sharing aspect of these transactions and curb the greed with both credits and cash.
