The listing, Lot of genuine Alaskan beach treasures! Can't afford to come to Alaska? Let Alaska come to you! has ended.

Personally scavenged, and hunted for by yours truly!

These treasures were found in Settlers Cove, Ketchikan, Ak (google it!) 99901 :) It is a very popular beach on the furthest north end of town (mile 18 marker). That's the end of the road on the north side! My boyfriend, daughter, and I spent a few hours on the beach, trying to choose the coolest, best treasures we could find. Was hoping for abalone, or sand dollars, but not this time :(

These are Pacific ocean treasures, from Alaska, and will smell like beach, I promise you that, so if you don't like that good ole ocean, fishy, beachy, low-tide smell, you might wanna keep moving :)

In this collection, I will send:

Varies shapes and sizes of beach and drift wood. Some of it is almost petrified bark off of trees! The salt water almost pickles stuff, and smoothes and grinds away. A wide, vast, and mighty ocean, does the most gentle changes to it's habitants. Only God and the ocean know how old, or where these drift wood pieces came from, and they aren't telling! One even has a piece of moss growing on it!

A piece of yellow cedar. If you ever have had the chance to smell red or yellow cedar fresh... It is TO DIE for. And burns quite nicely. Very popular for the Alaskan Native's to weave baskets, and hats out of.

Various piece of rock, some have already been smoothed by the ocean's touch, some are still jagged, freshly introduced :) Some possible quartz pieces? (they sure look like it! But I'm no geologist or anything!) And a rock that looks like a potato! HAHA

A few pieces of beach glass... This is glass(garbage, old bottles, etc.) that has been conditioned by the salt water. It is usually frosty in appearance and very smooth edges :) You can find all sorts of colors, but I only found white this time! Cool item to try to make jewelry out of :)

Wow about as far as you could get! Totally different ocean! I wonder what Atlantic ocean treasures look like? You know, Atlantic salmon are considered an invasive species here and threaten the natural wildlife! Lol weird huh.

Miscellaneous shells:
A couple of cockle shells (halves)
Two pieces of oyster shell VERY neat looking
About 4 "China hats" or Limpets
A few broken pieces of cockle shells (jewelry pieces?? just a thought)
Half of a mussel shell. And they certainly live up to their name! They are impossible to open! LOL
A few small clam shells, one half, two whole :) various sizes

A really neat piece of old wood with nails in it. I honestly have no idea where this may have come from, how old it is, or how long it's been travelling the ocean before it came to it's final resting place, but it's pretty neat looking, and makes you wonder what it was used for? And how long ago it last felt human hands...

And two crab pinchers! LOL These are pretty small, likely from a couple of juvenile Dungeness crabs, and probably eaten by another animal, mink? martin? sea otter? seagull? There's no telling.

Please have fun, and enjoy my goodies. I am so proud to be an Alaskan, and really want to share a bit of it with someone!

Good luck! :)
