Hi, would you tell me what a 'dressing gown' is? Is this not classified (as far as vintage garments go) as a nightgown? My dd is into vintage clothing and this may be something she would be interested in. She's a stage actress and does a lot of changing during dress rehearsals and shows. I see that it's made like a bathrobe, but looks like a nightgown. Thank you! Sorry if my question seems dumb. ;(

Like a bathrobe but not as utilitarian but sexier. What you would see in old movies or dressier ladies in the 40's and 50's.
