This is a 2003 NFL Showdown "Gold" card for Oakland Raiders receiver JERRY RICE.
Showdown was a game that included a bar code reader and was packaged with about 10 player cards and 25-30 play cards in each booster box. Gold cards were issued 1 per booster box.
(Recently I have seen the larger booster boxes on clearance at some retailers; has anyone purchased any of these and how is the player selection?)

Best known for his time in San Francisco with the 49ers, where he aided the careers of quarterback legends Joe Montana and Steve Young, Jerry Rice owns essentially every major NFL career receiving record, including most receptions, most yards, and most touchdowns. In 2010, the NFL Network named him #1 on the list of the NFL's All Time Greatest Players, and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
