The listing, (30 seeds) 5 Light Pink Crepe Myrtle Seed Pods has ended.
This auction is for 5 seed pods which hold 6 seeds each for a total of 30 seeds. These pods came from a plant in my yard. It is light pink in color and very hardy. I dug it up from my sister's flower bed where it was unwanted. It has been thriving for years. My sister had another plant that grew from the little bit of root that was left. So you can see these are very hard to kill and easy to grow. These seeds should grow into very tall trees unless you want to prune them into smaller shrubs. All pictures are of the tree in my yard and the pods from it.
This is what I found online to help give more information about Crepe Myrtles.
Wikihow: "Crepe myrtles are small to medium trees that produce beautiful midsummer blossoms in hues of pink, red, purple, and white. Most varieties grow to be about 15 to 25 feet (5 to 8 meters) tall, with some shorter smaller varieties only reaching heights of 3 to 6 feet (1 to 2 meters). In general, the plant does best in warm, humid climates, with few varieties being able to withstand heavy frosts." http://www.wikihow.com/Grow-Crepe-Myrtle
HGTV: "Gardeners in USDA Zones 7 to 10, where crape myrtles thrive... " and "For sure, gardeners in USDA Zone 6 have an excellent chance with cultivars that are known to have more cold hardiness..." and "In USDA Zone 5, gardeners who love crape myrtles experiment with growing the hardier ones as perennials or woody sub shrubs." http://www.hgtv.com/landscaping/crape-myrtles/index.html
