@imthinkingoutloud..... I was courios so I googled it.......WIKIPEDIA....says...." African Dasies are colorful flowers that thrive in warm full sunlight. The seeds are quick growing and will produce blossoms in just a couple of months after sowing. You can grow them directly in the garden or in a container ". ....... So thats what its saying............. In NY these have been around for a long time. So I'm sure to say they aren't hybrids. They do sell very fast in the nurseries. I loved them so much and enjoyed photographing them so much. Ive taken cutting in hopes they root. I'll keep the winner posted on how that makes out. I hope this answers your question.
if these are hybrids and the seeds are taken from your plants, they more than likely will not regrow as the same color or may not grow at all. What results have you had growing them from seeds that you got from your own plants?
@imvold.... its an annual here in NY. But in the south it might grow all year. Which would make me very jealous. I would sure like to have it sick around for sure. So Im not sure. Could depend on your climate.
@imloud....Im sorry I forgot to answer your question about whether or not it's invasive. In NY its a special Gem. Its very seasonal. As to it being invasive. Id say NOT. Dasies dont seem to be. But like I had stated. In the South it might actually be a PERENNIAL . Hope this answers your question.
