I can accept and respect the item's wear or use. My question is have you tried in the past to clean your item. I understand that some who own vintage item take the approach that to clean them may lessen the value. That's the reason for my inquiry. The brand is "Westinghouse"? The composition is "Stainless steel"? Am I right? Thanks for listing.

Thank you for asking questions.

No, I have not cleaned this item. It is as it was found. If I were listing this on my .com where I would expect to make a profit, I would spend the time and cost of materials to clean it.

Whether cleaning would decrease its value depends on the item. Many people use that excuse to not clean something. If in doubt, it is better to not clean, of course. Vintage, antique guns or coins tend to be items that are better with their patina in many cases.

As listed, the brand is Westinghouse. I am assuming because of its age and the fact that it is very heavy that it is of stainless steel, but I make no guarantees on that.
