Description

The listing, Sterling (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper) Silver Spoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! has ended.

One Sterling Silver spoon. I was offered $50 of in store credit for it, but I don't know if that means it's valuable or not. I'm pretty sure a lot of antique stores have a HUGE markup and the lady who offered the credit may have just wanted me to move the dresser I was looking at out of her store, give herself some floor space and have me pay the other $450, but I can't say I blame her :) I have no use for it, but I hope someone does on Listia. I just rediscovered this site, so I can't do buy it now yet. Also, if someone could tell me how many things I have to sell before I can get my sell it now wings badge I would be very grateful. Thanks and I'm not sure what to say for good luck. Break a spoon? Just not this one. Any other questions or comments, please don't hesitate to message me.

What exactly is embossed on the back of the handle? I see you have photos, but on my old browser, they are just too dark to make anything out. :)

.925 Sterling. On the front I can't make out the initials for certain in spite of them being clear. It's a weird type of cursive. It's either FH or JH.

The back also a "T" inside a square with one of the points going upward.

No, I was curious because so many people list silver plate as sterling. It's good to know what's actually stamped on the item.

It passed the magnet and the ringing test.

As long as it has the word "sterling" on the back, that's all that matters. The magnet test isn't always accurate. Not sure what the ringing test is?

You hold the end of the handle between thumb and index finger and tap the other end with a coin. Silver will ring and non will clank.
