DC is direct current throughout your house and AC is like a battery to your car....so I'm guessing it's both to the best of my knowledge. I wrote everything that was on the package and I tried looking it up for more info to your question, but couldn't find anything more than what I put.

Need to correct your info... DC is what your car battery has.. DC= direct current
AC is what is in your house. AC=alternating current.
