xbox 360s console up front i will tell you it isnt working when i turn it on the ring is completely red and it didnt blink or flash a code i have had some people say it is the red ring of death i have read things online that says it can be fixed and some say it cant so i just thought i would get rid of it because someone out there is tech smart and could do something witj it also comes with a intercooler fan to attach on top and a kinect plus the standard remote that comes with it yhe remote is worn on one of the sticks and on back but works fine just needs batteries and also comes with hdmi cord and the ac adapter any other questions please ask i will try my best to answer

My boyfriend works on them when they get the ''ring of death'' every time he was able to fix it back to new (: all you have to do is take it a part and clean the entire inside (mostly consist of dust) then be very careful not to damage the eye but clean it as well and then put everything back together as it was before and try letting it sit there on for awhile then turn it off and see if it still has the red ring. Your problem is the intercooler, I have never herd of a slim going RED REING without them. The old Bricks used Intercoolers and that would over heat them Intercooler design is bad and even they changed it after sometime. The fan is supposed to suck the hot air out of the Xbox but the intercoolers actually blow air back into the box, Thus all the hot air that is supposed to be venting is being forced right bak into the box it also pushes more dust into it. When the unit is damaged due to heat like this it's impossible to get to work correctly ever again, My advise is to NEVER use an intercooler fan and keep our vents open an in an open environment, read the precautions in the manual for proper spacing, its really not that hard though. Also switching any console from the vertical position to the horizontal position often does damage to the inside components as well, but I can sit her all day and list things that could go wrong with it. but those are the two major reasons for the unexplained Red Rings on the Slims.

This isnt a chipset issues its a harddrive issue. Either pin readers are bad or the harddrive it self is bad. Try taken the harddrive out see if boots just for gigles send me a message if i was right not bidding myself tho im 95% positive thats the case i fix more xbox's then any console :3

These consoles didn't get red ring. Sounds like a power supply issue or intercooler as tye one gentleman stated. Cleaning dust also doesn't fix red ring. Lol. It's caused by cooled paste slipping away from the GPU causing it to freak out and only costs around $20 to fix yourself. Good luck. Watching.

Easy fix mine did that to what I did was unplug everything for an hour let it sit then plug it back in it worked for me

i dont think so because when i bought it the guy said i wouldnt need to buy a hard drive that it had enough memory for the games my kids play

go online and lookup the manual reset for it... it consists of two buttons to be pressed down at same time while it's plugged in, it should fix it if not then it's the prossecor " X " mount that's cracked, which means either modify it or toss it
