The listing, *OLD* 1870 Spanish 5 Centimos COIN! has ended.
Up for auction is an 1870 Spanish 5 Centimos coin. As this coin was minted during the Spanish Provisional Government of 1868-1871, it features no monarch or mention of the country.
Its main composition is Copper, and measures 2.5cm in diameter (about the size of a quarter).
This is a particularly special coin due to the fact that the year 1870 was the only year that featured this denomination of coinage (This being a 5 centimos coin, there were also 1,2, and 10 centimos coins).
It is a very attractive coin, with the obverse featuring a Lion over a shield, and the reverse featuring a sitting lady.
