I haven't done much jewelry making yet, would like to start soon, but would it be possible to connect multiple cords for a longer cord?

Sure! I know some jewelry makers put knots in between beads to keep them from moving, so that would be a good way to connect the cording without random knots. I also have clear nylon cording up for auction and it's in a longer length - if you're interested. :-)
