This is a cow hide shield from South Africa. I got this on one of my trips to South Africa in the early 90's. It is a genuine hand made African shield. It is made from 3 pieces of leather or hide. It is beautiful.

Sorry haven't been home to measure it yet. But it is probably about a for tall and 6 inches at it's widest.
