I am a VERY busy self employed mom and laying the tape measure across the clothing allows you to see for yourself the exact measurements (yes you need to double the width) and it saves me time. I sell on eBay full time and have always used this method without ever ONE complaint from my paying customers. This method has been used on clothing upward to $100.00 per garment. I have not had one issue with my method till I started listing some clothing on listia... If you are one of "those" ladies, and you do not like my method, please move along to someone else's clothing auction. Any snarky remarks about my method (yes, I've gotten a few on here) will get you blocked from this and any future auctions. I have around 100 clothing items to add to listia.... So, be nice!
Personally, I myself prefer this method since some people do not give accurate measurements. If you would like an additional measurement of sleeve length etc I'll be happy to give it to you :)
