The listing, Disney Junior Games Tigger's Honey Hunt PC Game has ended.
Tigger's Honey Hunt -- Age 5 and up, Rated "E for Everyone" Disney Interactive, Windows, "Bouncy, pouncy" Tigger gets a chance to show his stuff -- Collecting jars of honey for a Pooh party is Tigger's excuse for racing through delightful wooded scenes. His path is strewn with logs to jump over, trees to ascend by riding on a leaf, cliffs to leap by jumping on a spider-web trampoline and assorted obstacles (bees, boulders, bats) to elude. And of course, lots of honey pots to snare. Kids control the action with arrow keys and the space bar. Tigger is quick, limber and does what he's told, so the action advances at a satisfying clip, interspersed with little rendezvous with other characters.
Meters display how many pots Tigger has collected and how much courage he has left. Too many run-ins with bees or monster trees frightens Tigger and sends him back to the last checkpoint on the current path to regain his courage. That's a welcome alternative to losing lives, a common element of action games.
There are nine levels to master, each distinctive and appealing. At level three, kids earn some extra bounce for Tigger (holding down the space bar) and on level six the ultra-springy accordion leap (control plus direction arrow). Three mini-games, spinoffs of classics such as rock-paper-scissors, are also-rans. Why waste time on them when there's honey to hunt?
A fast-moving, action game with beautiful 3-D settings, plenty of challenges and surprises and no violence.
