This is a Damascus knife. The blade is approximately 7 inches long while the whole knife is around 12 inches. It's never been used and comes with the army green cloth sheath.

What type of steel?

this is not a real damascus blade, an authentic blade would have a randomized pattern not a perfect pattern. also the swirl would cover the entire blade into the hilt, this one obviously does not.
