Description

The listing, Ancient Roman coin of Constantius II from 336-340 A.D. Nice details! has ended.

This small bronze coin is a genuine ancient artifact from the Roman Empire. It was minted between 336 - 340 A.D. making it about 1700 years old! The Emperor is Constantius II, who was the most successful of Constantine the Great's sons. He ruled as Augustus from 337 AD until 361 after having been raised to Caesar (junior Emperor) from 317 to 337.

You can see part of the legend behind his head that reads CONSTA from his name.

The reverse shows 2 helmeted soldiers holding spears with a battle standard between them. The legend is Gloria Exercitvs which means "Glory of the Army".

Shipping is free worldwide but I can't afford to send with tracking or registration, so shipping is at the risk of the buyer.

The penny is only for size comparison. It's not part of the auction.

I don't really like the GIN system, so I'd prefer not to go that route. Thanks for your interest.
