Nice auction. Although pinch collars seem cruel to some people they actually cause less injury then a choke chain or buckle collar. Fanned.

I agree with Sheena8-I would be unable to control my 100 lb. Airedale without this collar. It applies even pressure all around the neck of breeds that are very muscular. The points on the collar are NOT sharp-you can even buy rubber tips for them if it worries you. It really gets their attention, but if they want something bad enough, trust me they will endure the pain!

All of the negative words about this auction is lack of education on the person that is whining about this collar. For one if you notice it's people with "ankle biters" if you had a real breed like a Bully breed you will fine this collar is 100% needed. oh and by the way I have worn my dogs pinch collar before I put it on my dog it "pinches" not shock, not break the skin it PINCHES!!!! So please before barking about something you have no knowledge about read up on it first.

You can always remove the links to make it small and buy more links to make it bigger. This is big enough to fit a pitbull!

Keep it peaceful folks! This collar is designed for dogs of "aggressive" breeds. german shepherds and chihuahuas are NOT in that category, and it would be absurd to use it on such animals, because it's unnecessary. Happy dogs are controlled and responsive to commands (ever see the Dog Whisperer?). This collar is merely a training tool--no different than using ultrasonic sound devices, clickers, citronella collars or a water spritz to the face. And if you oppose any of those, than I can imagine you're probably the owner at the park whose dog won't come when told, and for some god forsaken reason keeps your puppy on your lap instead of letting it socialize with the others trying to sniff it... but i digress.

These DO NOT hurt your dog. Put one around your wrists and pull, it does not hurt.
I couldn't walk my 30pound corgi without one.

Pitbulls? "Aggressive" breed? Wow... those two words alone are the most ignorant thing I have seen.

Any proper dog person would know that this collar is FAR more humane than a choke chain, or a flat collar, ever heard of collapsed trachea???????

These collars are fantastic training devices! And if you ever used it, you would know the miracle it works! It may "look" like a mideival torture device, but it is hardly painful, WHEN PLACED CORRECTLY.

Way too often, I see people having this insanely loose pinch collar hanging off a dogs neck, and then they snap the crap out of the leash, and hurt the dog. These collars were intended to be TIGHT, and FAR UP THE NECK, right under the jaw bone.

http://leerburg.com/fit-prong.htm

PLEASE do research about a topic ("aggressive" breeds, training collars) before spouting.

AND BTW. They make this type of collar for very small dogs too, it IS NOT for large dogs only. Small dogs can pull too, and the size of the dog does NOT excuse bad leash manners.

I visited this auction, simply because I knew people would complain about this collar.

These are good training tools & a lot less cruel than say, a choke collar. I think a choke collar would be more likely to inflict any serious pain from pinching than an actual "pinch" collar would, just by the way the work.. Personally I never needed anything other than a regular collar for my Pitbull.. He was super easy to train & didn't pull on his leash..
Anyway, just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on the pinch collars, since everyone else was. :) lol
Great auction, good luck to everyone. :)

I almost forgot to mention.. for those of you who don't understand the concept of pinch collars, they are only to be used for training & going on walks, & things like that. What's mean is when people laeve the collar on their pup 24/7 & never give the dog a break from the discomfort.

You can properly train without pain. I think the humans should wear them before being allowed to put them on a dog.
