I play a 1969 Gibson " The Ripper" bass guitar, been playing this one for 37yrs now. I usually play with my fingers(better action & flow on the strings) than with a pick. Sometimes you need to use a pick! My fingers are still faster than you are using a pick,I'll prove that any day of the week. I like to give my "natural picks" (finger nails) a break,so they won't break. I love a HEAVY pick please, sir.
