Fanned and bidding. These could be used in art quilts too.....or if one put the proper protection on it, used as a pocket on a garment, part of a purse, endless possibilities. Did you use acrylic paint? If it was acrylic or oil, those are pretty darned permanent already. The only thing textile medium (for acrylic) does is give the paint a softer feel on the fabric, which with most applications I am thinking of wouldn't matter.

PLEASE don't anyone take my word for it, do your own research before getting your own piece of art, or one you may win, wet. In any case, art deserves better care than a washing machine, I always hand wash any hand painted fabric.
