These are cute little charms (shown in picture #2 beside a dime) with real spunk! :)They are metal (alloy I would guess) with enamel in the colored in areas.
The rope is yellow, but there are places with no color (I assume that it's for a textured look.)
These are new, bought in bulk by my daughter who had to clean out her craft stuff and gave me a load of it! (I told her that I didn't have need for ALL of it!) :)
It kind of looks like there is a opening at the center...it's just bad lighting in my living room...that part is actually just silver-ish like the edges and detailing.
