The listing, Legends presents...Get Ready for School ~ Backpack and School Supplies has ended.

The new school year is fast approaching and buying school supplies can be a budget-breaker. It breaks my heart to see children not getting what they need for such an important part of life (education). I want to help a student get some needed items to start the new school year off great!

What I will do....
The winning bidder will send me their child's school supply list and I will send 20 items, including a back pack, off that list via regular mail. If you send me your child's preferences, I will do my best. These items will be brand new just for you. (Yes, I get to go shopping.)
Examples of items: crayons, pencils, glue, rulers, spiral notebooks, peechies....
Limits: I will not be purchasing any items on the list that exceed $20 such as computers, calculators, etc.

If you tell me his/her favorite color, character, etc, I will include a surprise in the box, just for them.

Lastly, this auction will include a $10 gift card to a clothing store of your choice to help purchase some new clothes for that special first day of school.

OMG, such an amazing Legend auction! :) You go girl! :) I soo wish I could bid on this & win as I have 3 kids to buy for & it never seems to be enough... It's bad enough that us parents have to buy specific things for the school year, but each child has to bring in 1 big box of Kleenex for the teacher...This year there were a few kids that we knew just couldn't do that soo I when to Walmart & bought a big 6 pack (per kid, mine of course!) when they went on sale, but do you want to hear the kicker?! The teacher ended up telling my son, towards the end of the year, that he need to bring in "his share" of the Kleenex! I just about died when he told me this...Walmart is about 1&1/2 hours away from our house! :( (I ended up sending 1 box in anyways, out of guilt!)
Perhaps I could send you some items to put in your packages in the future?

That is crazy. Did she forget about the truck load? Well....considering her job, I am not sure I would keep everything straight, either. LOL. My son is home schooling for the moment but last year I did the same thing. I took in a bunch of wipes and kleenex and told the teacher to let me know if he needed anything else. LOL.

I just want to caution bidders...The winner will need to send me some information on the lucky child such as gender, color preferences, school list, etc. Please give me some time to go shopping. I am thinking no more than 10 days considering I do have a job and a family to fit in there. I will send this via USPS with tracking number and confirmation. If waiting an extra few days is a problem, it is probably best not to bid. However, I think that considering this is still July, there will be plenty of time to receive this before school starts.
Thank you to everyone who has bid so far. I am hoping this really helps someone out whether its for your child or a child that you know.
