PLEASE READ!!! I bought this phone on ebay and to my surprise it WILL NOT TURN ON!! IT DIDN"T COME WITH A CHARGER. So happens my hubby's cellphone charger worked with this phone. When I plugged it in there is a message saying:
Motorola Flash Mode Bootloader Version BOOT_C_03.05.00R_MPAP Charger Connected Please connect the USB Cable
I bought the phone with no returns accepted!!! Bad move on my part.
With all that being said bid at your own risk!!!! Maybe someone knows how to fix it. It has a clean ESN.
Questions & Comments
You may be able to fix this yourself. If you can connect the phone to your computer and by going to www.motorola.com/update. There it will read the phone, and provide the necessary software for you to download & install: Update the phone while it is in 'flash/bootloader mode".
I found a USB cable that fits the phone and I went to the website you provide. I downloaded the software to my computer that is needed to update the phone but it keeps saying device connection timeout alert and the phone can not be detected. I'm still working on it. Got my fingers crossed!!
Just a thought.....since it is reading "device connection timeout alert": take the battery out for ten seconds, replace and reboot; then try it on your computer again. And Thank You "Toshia4" for the info on the cord :)
most of the motorola Q phones have this very same problem its to do with the cord that they send with the phone it messes up the soft ware in it and thats it and its a simple fix!
i really needed that phone but i dont have the credits for it now its to high for something that is a shot in the dark so heres a link to the page on how to fix the phone...http://www.fixya.com/support/t4460494-motorola_flash_mode_bootloader_version
Ok I just found out the firmware, or system software of the phone is corrupted but it can be fixed by taking it to your carrier and getting it flashed. It also says you can do it yourself. I tried with no luck unless I was doing it wrong!!!
