1872 French 5 Centimes Coin! This coin was created right after Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, Napoleon I’s nephew, was unseated after being proclaimed emperor of the second Empire, as Napoleon III. He multiplied French interventions abroad, especially in Crimea, in Mexico and Italy. Napoleon III was unseated following defeat in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and his regime was replaced by the Third Republic.
The coin has several dents in it, like being hit with a cleaver or something. Still completely readable and intact and more interesting after romanticizing where the damage came from.... Please see the pictures and bid on this unique, very old, historical, collectible.
