Oscar Taveras 2014 Topps The Future is Now.

That title is so sad to read. Being a Cubs fan doesn't mean junk right now. The card should read 'the future is forever' as he will live on in many hearts for a great many years.

Oscar was a guy I was looking forward to cheering against when he played the Cubbies but would have rooted for against any other team.

And now his young life and that of his girlfriend's is forever gone in a blink of an eye is so wretchedly awful.

RIP Oscar and Edilia.

Who knew what his-and theirs-lives would have brought forth.

He just hit a home run in the NLCS last week and will now be forever remembered for that. I'm glad he had that moment.
