Questions & Comments
This is a very well-kept, very vintage bracelet that is actually made by Coro, a costume jewelry company which hasn't been around since the 70s. Francois was chosen in 1938 as the lead designer for their higher-end jewelry division, which lasted until the end of WWII, when his line was replaced with another...so this is costume jewelry (no gold) but when it was made it probably cost upwards of $50, which was a lot of money for any jewelry back in the 30s and 40s, and it was of the highest quality at the time. The "green" stuff is called verdigris, it happens when moisture or makeup sits on the metal for a long time. It is totally normal for a piece this old, it's a tiny amount so it'll clean up super easy, sometimes with just a toothpick or dry toothbrush. Hope that helps, I've done a lot of research on vintage costume jewelry. :) It's a beautiful bracelet, saw one in worse shape go for over $70. Good luck! :)
