http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Sesame_Street ..... cheated and copied. Hope this is allowed. Hope it works. lol. I just love Grover. He was always my favorite. <3 This is perfect Listia material. Great auction. :)
Oh, Yeah! He was the best! We called him Snuffy Uppy Gus just so we'd have a way to spell it! lol. He was invisible to everyone BUT Big Bird when he first came into "cast" and no one would believe Bird. haha. I remember it being a big deal. They introduced his family later on & they lived in a furnished cave, I think.
Yeah, I think it was because he was so shy. I guess Bird fighting so hard to get everyone to believe in him made him brave enough to show himself. Geez, I am such a nerd. lol. OH, and the DOG! The hyper, shaggy, orange and white dog- I can't think of his name. Darnit! haha
Barkley! I admit, I cheated & looked that one up, too. But it's all clear now. He was so flippin' excited, wasn't he?! And I still jam to the old 12 song at 35! lol. *sigh* Memories. hahaha
That's all we had growing up, if anything, was local programming. With the old clackety channel dial! I never could understand why you couldn't turn it fast. lol
Oh yeah, Barkely! Yeah, I learned my ABC's from sesame street. But then again, we didn't have cable and I think it was the only kid show on local tv. haha. I still loved it though!
