The listing, Antique hand carved Bone and horsehair calligraphy brush has ended.

I don't know much about this but eBay won't let me sell It because i cannot say what type of animal it is from, and they are strict about selling ivory ( this is not ivory, just bone) it is also missing the end cap, possibly another piece as well. Sorry I can't afford to list it with free shipping. Any questions, feel free to ask, and enjoy your free stuff!

What's the size please? Do you have pay pal for shipping? This is in beautiful condition-doesn't look as if there's a mark on it.

pks over a foot long and the brush part is at least 6 inches long

It took a while to figure out how to tell if it was plastic or actual bone, and the test turned out to be quite simple, I took a small screw driver, heated it up, and touched it to a spot on the inside. While obviously plastic would melt, this just sizzles a bit and turns black, and the smell is like burning a fingernail.( yep i did that too, just to compare)
